Thank You!

Just a quick post to say thank you for a truly wonderful year.

I know that to many people, 2020 could be seen as a complete disaster which is why I am even more grateful and thankful for the successful year I’ve had.

I have not been able to do all of the shows and exhibitions like I had originally planned but I do tend to focus on the positives which is the amazing support I have had from all of my customers and my followers on social media.

This year, I have sold more paintings than I ever could of dreamed of. Just a couple of years ago I was telling my now late father that I would never succeed as an artist, no one would ever buy my work as it just wasn’t good enough compared to everyone else. I really believed this - I had no plans on becoming the artist I am today - but here I am, with almost 50 painting sold! Can you believe that?! I sure can’t - but I know one thing, my dad would be incredibly proud and definitely having his “I told you so moment” right now.

So I guess I just wanted to say a huge thank you, from the very bottom of my heart, to every single person who has supported me this year. If that’s by buying a painting, interacting on social or sharing my page. Everything has helped and everything has been most wonderfully appreciated.

I guess I should wrap this post up with a little message about what will be happening from now until the New Year  and in 2021.

Firstly, I have closed off the majority of my website so that only my most recent canvases and canvas boards are available as well as two sets of portholes and the Christmas baubles. This is so I can offer them with an exclusive discount (and hopefully clear some space!) giving you one last chance to bag an arty gift for Christmas.

Secondly, please do now be mindful of my cut off dates for before Christmas. I will be taking final orders up until 11:59pm on Sunday 13th December. Any orders made before this date will be posted first class Via Royal Mail. After this time, I will temporarily close my website to make some slight adjustments before reopening again for a huge sale on Christmas Eve. Please note: if you place an order between 24th December - 1st January it may take a little longer to arrive as I will be spending time with my very patient, wonderful family.

On that note, that’s what I intend to do for the next few weeks; slow down, take a little break and spend time with my family who have all been so wonderful this year. I think my children would quite like for their mum to be present during the festive season father than surrounded by paint or buried in packaging!

I will also be working on some new ideas for the new year. Some of them will be very different to what I have been doing recently but I feel like now is a great time to start exploring some different styles in my artwork. One project I’ve been planning for a while is a WW2 series of paintings particularly focusing on the Russian & Arctic Convoys. Military History is one of my biggest interests and passions outside of Art & Writing so it only make sense that I try to combine the two together. I’m very much looking forward to making a start on it as well as lots of other little projects too.

Finally, I would just like to say one last thank you to everyone for your support. I realise I don’t actually know any of you personally and yet that’s what makes it even more humbling. That complete strangers like my art so much they actually buy it! I’m astounded and honoured to have had such a brilliant year in art. Thank you all, truly.
